Great Movies!
The Lord of the Rings (extended editions) are SO much different then the theatrical versions! I catch something new every time i watch them :D If you loved the lord of the rings movies, you will really enjoy these ones! so much more to the story and was acted and directed very well!

You have to see the Blu Ray Extended if you only own regular DVDs, worth it
This is to me, THE Definitive Fantasy Adventure movie series of all time. If you had to place this head to head with Original Star Wars, I hate to say it ( no, seriously, I really do hate to say it, I stood in line for the first Star Wars movie for 6 hrs back in '79 ), this beats it. No, not the CGI, or the effects, just the pure storytelling, adventure settings, storyline, etc. Now for the Extended version. It is worth it to see the extra footage, it is just more icing on the cake, extra fudge topping on the Sundae Supreme. Blu Ray makes this even more "depth-defying" pardon the pun. I am not going into story detail, if you need that, you have no business buying this set,,, lol.. With "The Hobbit : and Unexpected Adventure" now out, and yes, already saw ... This is to me, THE Definitive Fantasy Adventure movie series of all time. If you already have the DVD's, not the extended, I WOULD spend the money to get the Extended Blu Ray ( I have the series on DVD, and yes, the Blu Ray extended is worth the money ).

This is one of the best film trilogies (if not THE best) of all time in literally the best Blu-ray/DVD boxset of all time. 15 disks PACKED with every kind of special feature you could ever want and then some and that's not to mention the gorgeous packaging. Nothing even comes close, not even my beloved Matrix boxset. I don't know what else to say. If you like BREATHING AIR, you should own this.
