    Blood Will Tell

    If the object of your hunt is to match wits in the woods with a good buck, this book will give you an edge. Hal is an expert in the one on one style of putting horns on the wall and venison in the freezer. Extremely down to earth and entertaining to read, Hunting Big Woods Bucks will put you in the mood. It's like talking to a good friend about the hunt, about the scent of the woods, the thrill of seeing that buck. Maybe you get a shot or maybe not but, you always get the thrill. If we were sipping Irish coffee now and talking the season, I would recommend this book and start on the story of my best Upper Peninsula nine point. There was a foot of snow and he was with a doe.     this is a must read by all deer trackers, he IS the man

    Loved it !! This book is written by a down home blue collar working man who busted his butt in the most difficult state in the U.S to track and bag a TROPHY whitetail buck !! Do not expect john Grissham or steven king type writeing .Hal is just "one of us" !!!

    Hunting Big Woods Bucks

    I've met Hal Blood and stayed at his Cedar Lodge in Jackman, Maine, while trout fishing several years ago. He's a very knowledgable and helpful person and gave us all kinds of free advice for our fishing trip to Maine. When we return to Jackman we will stay with Hal, again. I've always wanted to read his book.
