Product Information

Two of gaming's best-established fighting franchises match up for the first time in Street Fighter X Tekken. Building on the Street Fighter series' archetypical arcade action, the game pits fan-favorite characters from the Capcom and Namco series in head-to-head, 2D-style combat. Borrowing from the seminal Tekken 3D fighting franchise, players can team-up two combatants for a Tag battle. As in the recent high-def editions of Street Fighter, characters are rendered in virtual 3D, and fighting arenas are alive with background animations.<br><br>The roster includes central characters from both game series, including Ryu, Ken, Guile, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, and Tekken's Kazuya, Nina, King, and Marduk. Characters can perform their signature special moves, and individual controls are designed to feel familiar to fans of either franchise. Before a match, the game's "Gem" system allows players to customize any character for a certain fighting style. As in the high-def editions of Street Fighter IV, internet-connected gamers can compete in a number of online multiplayer modes.

    Good Fighting Game that Should Have Been 3-D

    This is a fun game and it is awesome to see the various characters from both Tekken and Street Fighter. The main problem is that they did not make this game a 3-D fighting format like most of the previous Tekken games. It was mostly a 2-D format, like the old Street Fighter games. It is still a lot of fun and worth having, so I am glad I bought it.

    Does what it's supposed to do.

    I was stoked for street fighter x tekken as soon as it was announced. When i got it home to actually play it though, it felt a little lack luster. Everything in the game is sound. Graphics are neat, characters that are present play well. And everything is just ho hum. Thats the thing though, when playing Street fighter 4, tekken 6 or Marvel vs Capcom 3, there was a great fun to it. It was exciting and new and amazing. This game just feels like a middle of the line fighter with A class characters. Good: - Cool Concept - Great characters - Interesting Gem system (doesn't overpower) - Online play - Tag Matches are neat Bad: - Not overly exciting - Bland, normal fighting story mode - In online play the sound dipped in and out (could be fixed with patch by now) - Xbox version was ...
