Annoying repetitive trailers at the start of each disk.
WARNING ! While the SGU files themselves are good quality the DVD production is really annoying. Initially it plays a movie that tells you it is illegal to pirate. This is then followed by a succession of trailers for other unrelated films which lasted 4.5 minutes. All before you can actually watch the movie you payed for. After eventually seeing an episode you then have to put up with two further screens again saying you mustn't copy it.. All DVDs produced like this should carry a warning before purchase so we can avoid buying them.WARNING ! While the SGU files themselves are good quality the DVD production is really annoying. Upscales better than previous Stargate Atlantis box set, but can see why this never completed the second series. Format differs from previous Atlantis, as in, the 'base' being a ship that bounces in and out of drive romping through the universe, that (bit by bit) they try to unlock/understand with having to decipher an old alien language, mainly via a teenager that has been 'pressganged' by the USAF that is basically a games/maths genius (thats the script, not me!), and a sulky scientist (oh Mr Carlyle, youre better than this!), stopping against the clock, sometimes to see if any planet is near enough to inhabit, then sometimes not. If you have followed SG-1 and Atlantis, you will no doubt arrive at my conclusion that this is more the 'thinking mans Stargate', if you like. No real gun ... Upscales better than previous Stargate Atlantis box set, but can see why this never completed the second series. Got both SG-U series, watched both, and to be honest, even though best actor (being Robert Carlyle) in it couldnt save it. If this whats become of Stargate, please let it rest. I read somewhere that if the 2nd season had been completed, there were plans for a follow up movie? On this offering, im glad it didnt, because, based on this, it would have flopped miserably, and thats the view of a fan? Hopefully after season 2 it will be RIP Stargate...

Just a shame it didn't run longer.
I've seen it before, I just wanted it for my growing collection of dvds. For a used product it's in great condition, the case and the disc's are spot on. No complaints.
