Cillian Murphy is really good in the lead. I enjoy Danny Boyles work and this was no let down. It’s interesting to see London streets when they are empty

28 Days Later is a horror movie based in Europe where a disease has broken out and is turning everyone exposed to it into mindless flesh eating zombies. Compared to other movies of it's genre I found this movie rather good and somewhat unique to the others I have seen. It's not Romero style in terms of it being scary but it is very interesting in terms of it's story. The story is based off of a man who wakes up one day from a coma and finds that everybody is gone. He searches the city for anybody but ends up finding these zombies who chase after him. He is rescued by two other survivors and they move out to find a cure and survive. 28 Days Later + 28 Weeks Later
28 Days Later deals with the aftermath of a virus that is raging through Britain. The first half of the film is genuinely terrifying. Brilliant visualization of an empty London, with zombies waiting to kill. And not old style shuffling zombies - they are frightening, aggressive and quick. 28 Weeks later deals with the reintroduction of people after the first film. Apart from the overall story (virus, etc), it isn't a continuation, it's separate groups of people than those involved in the first. Thrilling in a different kind of way (though the opening scene is as scary as anything in the first movie!), again very enjoyable. I found it a fascinating look at some of the realities of dealing with the aftermath of an epidemic like this. In both films, the cinematography is breathtaking.
