Product Information

Three features. 'The Good, The Bad And The Ugly' is set during the American Civil War. The story deals with three mean desperadoes who have their eyes on a 200,000 dollar treasure. 'The Magnificent Seven' is based on the Japanese story 'Seven Samurai'. A small Mexican village calls upon the services of seven American gunmen to provide protection against bandits. 'The Alamo' tells the story of how a handful of Americans defended a ramshackle mission against a 7000 strong Mexican army.

Whoever decided to put these three films together in one package came up with a brilliant idea as they are questionably three of greatest westerns ever made. "The Good the Bad and the Ugly", made over 30 years ago, not only left a lasting impression upon me, but had the same effect upon my 21 year old son when he saw it for the first time and Ennio Morricone's music remains a true classic. It is difficult to believe that both "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Alamo" were released 47 years ago. "The Magnificent Seven" must rank high on any list of westerns, not least for the strength of the cast and "The Alamo",which tells the story of one of the most remarkable events in American history, was nominated for no less than seven Oscars. This collection treats the viewer to over 7 hours of ...
