It’s more sad than scary
Cruel people controlling country postman who has a deviant attraction to children hates this giant man with the mental age of a six year old who is popular with kids. One day he gets his wish to set him up and talks the town folk into dealing out their own justice and they kill him and get off in court. He returns to get his own back on each murder leaving the postman until last.
