First time I've heard her...........
I first notice Doro while browsing jukebo. Decided to buy her DVD. Raised in the 70's my music generation is what they term now as 'Classic Rock' (makes me feel like an old banger). Nowerdays my tates have mellowed but this double DVD is very good. I can see why she has many fans, her style is mainly old rock, although German her lyrics are English. Her voice is a little husky (ie Bonny Tyler)The first DVD is the Cave Concert 2003 followed by video promos & the making of the concert. She also sing songs without the full rock ensemble 'Love me in Black' is excellent. The second is about her Aussy tour 2003 & a selection of studio recordings/photo session. Both DVD's are great. forgetting for a minute that doro is a godess i last saw a doro dvd in the 80s with warlock this was great but doros english was a bit raw . so here we are now with this relatively up to date dvd. i was totally blown away with this dvd doro is now older but rocks so much harder her voice has become a powerhouse of emotion with the old and new songs delivered with powerhouse perfection the energy transmits through and you will need a tv with the power to take it. highlights are many fight,east meets west,burning witches,she does em all my list of true rockers include keith richards,lemmy,robert plant,pat benatar,and now doro.one last thing please tour the uk doro we need you. perfect picture in 16.9 bone shaker sound.
