Vintage Sleuth Columbo is always good entertainment.
Lieutenant Columbo is a marvel of a character but the co-star on each episode are great as well. This unfashionable dressed detective is a genius and disarmingly polite to the criminal.

Our favourite detective
Another six cases for America's scruffiest detective in season five. I think one of the reasons I enjoy these series so much is that I don't have to think. I can smugly sit back and watch Columbo do the work gathering the clues that lead to the conviction of the murderer (or murderess). Without giving the plots away too much, in this series they are, Janet Leigh as an ageing actress, Hector Elizondo is the Suarian legation secretary: Patrick McGoohan, playing a CIA intelligence officer, is again trapped by our hero, in an episode that also features Leslie Nielson (again). Former bullfighter, Ricardo Montalban is episode four's villain and episode five has another repeat appearance, this time Jack Cassidy in the role of magician, 'The Great Santini'. I had to concentrate a bit more for this one; not quite as straight forward. If you enjoy Columbo (and I assume you do if you are reading this), what are you waiting for? There are usually series available on eBay at a much better price than the full retail cost of £29.99.

if you are a columbo fan, dont hesitate, great set, i have no reason to insult this product, people always want to find something to moan about, this is a 70s tv series, you have to keep this in mind, ps NO adverts, you should buy it for that reason alone, sit back and enjoy
