A visual Sigur Rós feast!
This is a breathtaking DVD documentary/concert film about one of Iceland’s biggest musical exports Sigur Ros. It chronicles their tour around their home country in 2006 where they preformed a series of free, unannounced concerts in rural areas. Heima is an astoundingly beautiful film both as a visual and in sound. It manages to cram the open wilderness of Iceland in to a roughly 100 minute feast for the eyes and ears and leave you wanting for more and especially make you wish you were there when they performed these shows. Beautiful piece of work
This is just excelllent, a real must have for Sigur Ros fans. The first discs documentary hits the perfect balance between interviews and live music, while shifting themes and locations seamlessly. I haven't watched the second disc yet, but if the quality of the live performances in the documentary are anything to go by, the second should be phenomenal. And looking at the track listing, there appears to be a ton on there too. EnjoyThis is just excelllent, a real must have for Sigur Ros fans. Sigur ros Heima documentary dvd
I love this item so much! I went to see heima at the cinema and it was so amazing i just had to find a copy on dvd. Sigur ros are simply one of the greatest bands ive ever known, their music is so atmopsheric and relaxing and this dvd sums up the band and their music, as well as giving an interesting insight into iceland, its culture and beautiful scenery, all of which inspire the music of sigur ros. A must watch dvd =) A+I love this item so much! I went to see heima at the cinema and it was so amazing i just had to find a copy on dvd. great insight into the thinking and inspiration of one of the most heard yet unknown bands on the planet. most of their albums have been sampled for film soundtracks and this dvd is a must for fans.
