At 07:38 on the morning of 18 April, while the task force was still about 650 nautical miles (1,200 km; 750 mi) from Japan it was sighted by the Japanese picket boat No. 23 Nittō Maru, a 70-ton patrol craft, which radioed an attack warning to Japan.

    The Great Doolittle Raid ……

    Anything that provides information about the Exceptional raid conducted against the country that attacked Pearl Harbor is worth it. In relatively little damage to the cities bombed, it none the less informed the enemy that the United States wasn’t going to capitulate. In just over 4 months from the Pearl Harbor bombing , it was returned to them. It should be a history lesson.
