NotesDigitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1993 album from the veteran British musician. Originally released on the CMP label, the album was a true return to form, featuring wonderful tracks such as 'Ships in the Night' (on which Jack sang a duet with Maggie Reilly), 'Child song', 'Peaces of the East', 'Waiting on a Word', 'Willpower' and many more. SOMETHIN' ELS was also notable for the presence of Eric Clapton on guitar, along with other guests Clem Clempson (guitar), Dick Heckstall-Smith (sax) and Stuart Elliot (drums). This Esoteric Recordings release has been newly remastered and features three rare bonus tracks originally featured on the 1993 album THE SNAKE MUSIC by Mark Nauseef and Miroslav Tadic, all featuring Jack - 'Lizard on a Hot Rock', 'The Wind Cries Mary' and a fabulous reworking of the classic 'Rope Ladder to the Moon'. The release includes a booklet that restores the original album artwork.
