This is a truly excellent CD player, well built and designed by Technics, and with truly excellent sound reproduction. Unit layout and size: This is a compact unit - it is a nice size, about 35 cm by 25 cm by 9 cm tall. The controls are arranged conveniently, and have a nice click to them when pressed. Asides from the regular play, pause, stop and eject controls, there are controls for organizing a CD play order or program, repeat, search, CD edit and time mode controls. Sound quality: This is an excellent sounding CD player. Hi frequencies sound smooth and soft, and bass is warm and balanced. The mids are clear. CD players can vary significantly - usually they either sound nice, or they don't. This one is defiantly one of the best models I have tested to date. Other thoughts: With some CD players the CD draw feels loose or insubstantial. However this Technics model has a sturdy CD draw which opens and closes firmly. The CD reading components are suspended, which is a bonus as this can prevent skipping due to vibrations or small impact. It has all the features expected of a high end CD player. Overall: A really great unit, simply designed, with sounds great and looks the part too!Read full review
