This is a fun and engaging platformer!
Good humor, easy gameplay, and even just watching someone play is fun. I have been playing this game with my kids and my six year old can do most of the things.

Same great fun, same great characters
I bought this game as I was a huge fan of "Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction" and really just wanted more of the same. This game does not disappoint and tries to develop on the successes of its previous iterations by adding new mechanics such as free-roaming space travel, mini-planet levels where you land on a small planet-like object such as a moon or asteroid and roam around its spherical body in search of a Golden Bolt or Zoni. The story is a direct continuation of the events portrayed right at the end of Tools of Destruction and is split between playing the bulk of the game as Ratchet and some smaller chapters as Clank. These forays into the physically weaker yet mentally stronger world of Clank provided me with the most satisfaction in the game as a whole, not ... I bought this game as I was a huge fan of "Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction" and really just wanted more of the same. This game does not disappoint and tries to develop on the successes of its previous iterations by adding new mechanics such as free-roaming space travel, mini-planet levels where you land on a small planet-like object such as a moon or asteroid and roam around its spherical body in search of a Golden Bolt or Zoni. The story is a direct continuation of the events portrayed right at the end of Tools of Destruction and is split between playing the bulk of the game as Ratchet and some smaller chapters as Clank. These forays into the physically weaker yet mentally stronger world of Clank provided me with the most satisfaction in the game as a whole, not by exploding bad guys but by having to use your brain to work out increasingly more and more complicated puzzles involving time travel, duplicates of yourself, elevators controlled by a past version of you and buttons to open doors etc etc etc. This ultimately leads to my main criticism of the game and the only reason I cannot give it a 5 out of 5 rating: The bulk of the game is just way too easy as very quickly Ratchet amasses a powerful arsenal of weapons rendering him almost invincible in combat. The more intellectually challenging pieces are too few and far between (albeit excellently executed) and I would have liked to see less of a Dr. Frankenstein style approach when sewing these two separate halves together. Overall a brilliant game with many hours of entertainment, series-standard beautiful visuals, and a well polished genuinely funny plot line.
