Book exactly as specified, rapid international delivery (USA to UK), and a reasonable price for an out-of-print book. Many thanks for that. In particular, I appreciated the good quality packaging for the book. It arrived in a cardboard box, and inside, it had paper to pad out the box, plus a thin plastic cover to further protect the book. This meant the book survived international shipping in great condition. On that basis, I highly recommend this seller.

The book was exactly as described. Near perfect condition. I’m loving reading all Jacques Pepin’s tips. The seller was extremely helpful. I, inadvertently, entered the wrong shipping address. I sent a message to the seller with the correct address. They answered me the next day saying not to worry they would change it. The book arrived quickly in a box cushioned with brown stuffing paper. The book itself was carefully wrapped in heavy white protective paper. I highly recommend them.

Definitely not as old as what was listed. It was labeled as a book from 1873 but its from 1920. The 1873 date was listed as a note from the author. The book mentions copy right act of 1909. It’s in good condition and quick shipping by the seller. It was packaged well and definitely worth the price paid.

  • Trotter Is Always a Win

I meant to purchase another of Charlie Trotter’s cookbooks and realized the next day, that in my late night fatigue, I purchased this one instead - his first. Trotter was the King of combinations that bring out the nuance of each main dish and it’s components. Therefore this book is an excellent staple go-to for main dish combinations. For example: Truffled Exotic Mushroom and Root Vegetable Tart w/Red Wine Butter Sauce - wow ! Excellent flavor choices for a main dish. Every one of the ingredients were accessible either in store or online, depending upon one’s location. The dishes are time-consuming, as any new recipe would be, especially for the Home cook. I would consider this book a great “textbook” on cooking and flavor combinations. The only drawback would be the need to adjust ...
