Excellent transaction. Great copy of Jo in the Middle by Jean Ure exactly as described, sold for a very reasonable price, safely and securely packed, sent and received really quickly. All good! Highly recommended seller from whom I've bought before, always had great books and irreproachable service, and from whom I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

I saw it’s cover pop up somewhere and it brought back so many lovely memories if a place in my life and the people I loved who are no longer with is that I wanted to revisit those times in my mind and read the book again. I wasn’t disappointed. The story begins leading up to WWII and is the story of a French chateau family and the fates that befall them once the Nazi occupation takes place. It is an engrossing story and you become invested in the characters. I haven’t read The ...

  • Good story, interesting facts, very welm written.

I've read this book many years ago and enjoyed it very much as it had many interesting facts about France and about the wine industry along with a compelling story. Have read other novels by this author and they have all been really well written.
