The Giottos MM9160 monopod is a five-leg section monopod primarily constructed from aluminum alloy. Due to its all-metal construction, the MM9160 monopod feels solid and stable when in use, giving the photographers confidence in its sturdiness. The Giottos monopod is quick and easy to use; the carefully polished surfaces lock firmly into place and are quickly and easily released as needed. The finish of the Giottos MM9160 monopod is anodized to preserve the sheen and look of the metal. The monopod can be folded down to a compact 20 inches (50.8 cm). This, coupled with the fact that the monopod weighs less than 1.5 lbs (680 g), makes the MM9160 monopod a portable photography accessory. The large rubber foot of the Giottos monopod gives firm ground support, a necessity to any photographer. Offering 360 degrees of tilt, the monopod gives the user total flexibility. Moreover, the Giottos MM9160 monopod has an interchangeable thread, which due to the reversible camera platform, can be instantly changed from the international standard 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) to 3/8 inch (0.95 cm).
