    works well

    I have used this product in my evaporative humidifiers for years. It does a great job preventing mold and mildew buildup so I don't have to clean my humidifier more than 1 or 2 times during the 5 month season. We have very hard water and it does seem to extend the life of the humidifier wick, though I still have to replace the wick at least once a month.
