    PLEASE stop with the AWESOME SAUCE guys...really. i adore well made period pieces, and this is one of them....studied english monarchy history YEARS ago and this is pretty right on historically....his main mistress Barbara is portrayed fantastically....theres Rufus, hes amazing....there are the cavalier king charles spaniels of course...i had just finished VERSAILLES(which is wondrous)and the two epics ran with each other....i would say, if u r overly sensitive to the savagery and deceit of those times, which r openly displayed, not protected and hidden so much..u might want to stick with , say like, REIGN, which is all about long,curling extensions, perfect makeup, fab outfits, perfect mammary glands, etc etc...perfect for teens or lovers of Twilight......This is not a new piece, but i ...

    Charles II "The Last King"

    Superb acting. Politically, historically accurate. Beautifully filmed. It was not rated but it would probably be R rated due to somewhat explicit sex scenes in King Charles II court. King Charles II apparently had many mistresses. Rufus Sewell as King Charles II, Rupert Graves as the King's BFF, Shirley Henderson as the King's wife, and several more outstanding, British actors whom I don't know by name.
