    No Image stabilization

    Is it durable? I've had it a couple of weeks - ask me in three years. It has no image stabilization (my fault for not noticing when I ordered) but that is why it is cheaper than other offers. I have not had time to make the usual personal performance (sharpness included) tests - hey I just went thru Irma (actually, Irma went thru me). Lack of image stabilization makes it a not-that-good value. It did arrive promptly as planned.

    Great everyday lens

    This is the lens if you want close up pictures night or day. It makes good use of the standard flash (which is not strong enough for long distance shots) and your photo subjects don't appear miles away. It also has auto focus and image stabilizer for dummy proof photos in most situations. It is my most used lens.
