    Great Recording by Alison

    This is a great recording primarily because it features the angelic voice of Alison Krauss. I like the style of the music in this compilation because it has very little traditional bluegrass (which is not my cup of tea -- sorry Alison). The CD includes some duets with James Taylor, Brad Paisley, and John Waite that work very well and there are some real gems included in the songs on the CD. The CD sounds quite good, being mixed well and apparently having little if any dynamic range compression.

    Superior Musicianship, great collection!

    Idk where I've been, but I just really found Alison & US a few weeks ago on AXS TV. It was a live performance but this is just as exhilirating. She quickly has become one of my favorite vocalists. The re-issue of "You're Just a Country Boy" would make Jim Croce and Don Williams proud. My new favorite song is the second track "Simple Love", written by Sara Siskind. It somehow finished 2nd for a Grammy in 2008. Another flowing masterpiece is "Away Down the River". Purists may consider some of the songs heavily produced but the song selection is so unique compared to other 'country' albums. There are titles on this release which feature contemporary country design, 19th century bluegrass breakdowns, and irish folk melodies. It has everything a new or old fan of Alison will enjoy.     Alison Krauss is always good

    Although several of the Union Station members play throughout this collection, it is more about Alison Krauss being at the forefront and singing solo. After several playings, in my opinion, there isn't a bad track on the CD. Give this a chance and I think you will like it also.

    Alison Makes Forks In a Blender Sound Like a Symphony

    I love Alison Krauss. I can listen to the same album over and over. The lay down beside me track on this album is my favorite of all time. Some James Taylor and Jerry Douglas are the bow on the present. Astounding!
