    great buy, but make sure to look into what you are getting yourself into

    this is a great item, but you do need to be aware of what you are buying, the twin version is generally better than the base famicom due to better options for video output and having the disk system integrated, but on the flip side that drive is just as liable to be damaged as any normal famicom disk drive, thankfully parts are all compatible, and the games for the disk drive are hard to come by, but otherwise the system is excellent. the primary drawbacks to be aware of with a famicom twin is the power supply, which is rare and unusual and as a result you will need some technical awareness to use or replace if you don't live in japan and the fact that it is overall a larger system due to the integration of the drive, however i personally find this last to be an improvement so it is up to ...

    Wonderful retro system

    The sharp twin famicom combines a nintendo famicom and it's disk system into one package with a single power supply and standard RCA outputs. It can be powered in the USA with a genesis 2 power brick. The system is old but sharp used very good capacitors which have a very low failure rate. The system will play any famicom game (including everdrives) as well as disk system games. The unit has a wire in the back hidden behind a small panel which connects the two sides together. You can hook up an fds stick to it to bypass the disk drive (assuming you have a cable adapter). Speaking of the disk drive, almost every non refurbished unit will require a new drive belt. These are cheap and easily accessible but the actual repair is mid-teir requiring a small alan key and some careful dexterity to ...

    Twin Famicom

    Unbelievable deal including the first two Mario games and free shipping. I mainly needed a famicom to play the original Japanese release of Mario 2 (know as the Lost Levels in USA.) The game being packaged in already saved me a lot of time and money.
