    You can never go wrong with Mary Martin headlining

    SOOOOO much better than the movie version! Mary Martin us magical, more than compensating for it being in black and white. I never azw thge original stage version with Ethel Merman, but I find it hard to believe it could be better than this. OK, it was a little pricey, but doggone! It was worth it! I'm not quite comfortable with the character of Sitting Bull, but he's also the smartest character in the play, and jas a deep well of compassion for his "honorary daughter" Little Miss Sureshot.n a few sly references to the government's mistreatment of Native Americans can be cited in mitigation. The music is great and the performances excellent.

    For big musical fans here is one from years back that you will enjoy.

    Being a fan of this musical as well as Broadway superstar Mary Martin and excellent singer John Raitt, I enjoyed going back in time to see there two performers do their thing.
