A great tale of beauty , hubris and narcissism . It lends to the saying 'Whom the God's bless , they also curse.' A powerful ensemble, in particular Angela Lansbury who is Sybil Vane in all her innocence, beauty and fragility. I really recommend this original black & white film . The updated film version 'Dorian Gray,' is a good re-make , however this is superior. A time when ones 'good name and reputation was everything.'
