  • Excellent book, another masterpiece from Rothfuss

No one thought Rothfuss would surpass his previous work, but he did. This second iteration of the Kingkiller Chronicles is even better than the first one. Faster pace, more characters, story development, world building... it has everything. He is, gladly for us, taking full advantage of the world he's created and making it deeper, more realistic and even more intriguing. We can only wait for the third and final book with great expectations, but I'm confident he will exceed them all the same.

  • The Wise Man's Fear is a reader's great delight !

Tolkien is the measure by which I rate adventure/fantasy. Rothfuss has written 2 novels now that I believe are in the same breath of imagination.

  • The life, loves, and adventures of Kvothe, the Kingkiller.

The start of the Kingkier series by Patrick Rothfuss. The adventures of Kvothe as told to a scribe. Brilliantly written first novel in the series. A must-read for fantasy fans.

  • Great follow-up

Rothfuss does a really nice job in this second book of the series of mixing development of the existing story / characters from the first book with a much broader set of adventures. Riveting stuff and can't wait for the 3rd book to come out.
