    Perfect after mod

    Perfect after a slight modification to fit my Colbra 29 Classic Ltd. I felt it needed more support due to the weight of the cb only using the 2 footman loop holes. I just drilled another hole at the bottom of the mount and used a self tapping screw. This mount works perfect for the smaller cb radios and with some mods it works great with larger ones. Also this works with soft tops as well as hard tops unlike a lot of the other competitors

    Nice Overhead Bracket After Adjustment

    This is a nice overhead bracket that needed some adjustment in order to be installed. Rather than drill out the mounting holes and use the rubber compression fittings supplied, everything was reinstalled using rivets as original. Requires two 3/16" steel rivets having 3/8" of clamping distance. It is best to have the larger type of rivet tool, one that resembles a set of bolt cutters. Remove the rubber padding applied along the clamped surface to eliminate any future looseness. Also, have a file ready to facilitate some clearance in bracket's width where the original, u-shaped bracket goes around it. This makes a really nice radio mount when finished..

    Expensive, but works well after modification.

    The box states no drilling is required, but you must drill out the rivets in the loop. The instructions also say you need to drill the holes larger. Instead of drilling the holes larger and using the provided bushings and screws, I opted to use a rivet gun instead. Seems to work better this way and is attached same as factory now. Dissappointed in the fitment. The bracket needed to be bent quite a bit to fit properly. The end result was great though.
