    my new brother sewing machine

    I wish I had bought this years ago. I struggled on with my old heavy faithful until it broke. My new machine is excellent, light and pretty and oh so easy to use. I love it and the dvd guide is good.

    Great value basic machine.

    My previous sewing machine was almost 40 years old. It was so heavy that I struggled to carry it and place it on a table. As an early Xmas present to myself I decided to treat myself to a replacement. When it was delivered I propped the box my hip while I signed for it - I would have broken my hip if I had tried that with the other one!! Light weight, good to look at, easy to thread and a good range of straight and zig-zag stitch lengths. Some reviews report that it is noisy but I don't think so. The pedal seems a little flimsy but isn't likely to be ill treated. Good range of accessories - spare bobbin, needles, buttonhole and hemming feet and the bonus was the free carry bag (it does come with a plastic cover as part of the accessories but this is very flimsy).     Good value machine.

    The casing is metal, as are most of the parts, and the quality seems very good for the price, so I think the value for money is excellent. I haven't had it very long, and am still learning, but find it fairly easy so far. The only thing that I've noticed is the foot raiser is plastic which might not be an issue, but I feel a metal one would have been preferable. Altogether I am very happy with the machine.

    Quality and value

    The quality of this machine for the price is incredible,I'm a novice with a sewing machine but this is easy to use and the accessories needed are also very easy to find and value for money. Excellent purchase, highly recommend if your looking for a sewing machine.

    Brother LX17 Sewing Machine

    My last Brother sewing machine finally gave up. Had it for years . Bought another Brother Sewing Machine as really liked my last one. This is a lot more modern and really smooth to run. Still getting used to parts but pleased I purchased another Brother.
