I tried this for a second time (first batch was terrible due to high sparking and an acrid smell / smoke that only stops once the charcoal is well and truly lit). Well, it was exactly the same second time round that I sent it back after two bbq’s and even with the £13 postage it was worth it as it ruins your meat. I BBQ a lot, using a ceramic egg style bbq- probably average 3 times a week once out of winter so this is not down to inexperience.
