      Briggs& Stratton pattern replacement starter pinion set.

      The questions 'is it compact/easy to start' are irrelevant. This starter pinion kit is complete and ready to install with the aid of a hammer and pin punch. One point that is not shown/made is that the pinion gear has a chamfer or lead on one side. which helps it engage with the flywheel This should be facing the flywheel ring gear once the starter has been installed. It is possible to fit the pinion the wrong way round. The quality of components look to be as good as the original Briggs & Stratton unit.

      exeptionally well engineered parts, so very easy to fit.turns a useless starter into a reconditioned one at a fraction of the cost of a replacement.
