    Keep it charged.

    Do not let this unit sit unused or uncharged for more than a week or two, the battery will fail. Garmin and it’s dealers are aware of this problem but haven’t addressed it or added it to any user manuals. Mine failed after 80 hours of use over two years and being careful to avoid temperature extremes. Out of warranty. Only options offered were a replacement for $285 (“currently unavailable, no idea when will be available”), or buy a new one. Otherwise it worked ok, not sure I would trust the AHRS, needs regular resetting.

    Compact with good battery life, but proprietary interface limits usefulness

    Product works well but is captive to Garmin navigation app and that app is not optimized for the android platform.
