OP flare compatibility of the HEL braded hose for MX5 Mk 1 cars
Buyer beware - if you are purchasing one of these hoses for your Mk 1, just be aware that this HEL hose comes with an OP1 flare provision at one end and an OP2 flare provision at the other. The Mk 1 car has an OP1 flared pipe at both ends of the fit. You will need to re-flare the hydraulic line on the car at one end to suit. I am unable to comment about the direct replacement potential on a Mk 2 or Mk 2.5. Buyer beware - if you are purchasing one of these hoses for your Mk 1, just be aware that this HEL hose comes with an OP1 flare provision at one end and an OP2 flare provision at the other.
