    An Excellent Reboot

    Made for the modern age, the full spectacle of Ben-Hur (1959) is lost due to the conciseness needed to market to today's audiences. The movie was well done and acted with exciting action scenes. The sea battle excelled, but the chariot race was somewhat lacking even with CGI. I liked the reconciliation at the end which was only implied previously, but found the music missing the majesty of the Rozaz score while the contemporary song at the end was jarring. All in all, a good film, but not great.

    Ben Hur 2016

    My husband and I saw this movie at the theater and we loved it! However the copy that we received even though it was a great deal for a new release seems like it was a little light in color and it lost a lot of its "stage presence" so to speak. Not quite the quality that I had hoped it would be and yet I'm not sure if no matter where I buy it I wouldn't get the same result. $7.70 for a new release DVD is really a Great Buy! I won't complain.

    Good movie.

    A slightly different take on the story line. The original Charlton Heston version was 4 hours, too long. This 2 hour version is tighter. CGI helps with action scenes. Saw interview. No animals were harmed. in spite oif what you think you are seeing.
