Ridiculous but still worth a watch
An action-packed, violent and unbelievable thriller is still enjoyable to watch due to the quality of the leading man and the unrelenting fast-pace of the direction. Our good guy brings down an entire empire of evil, driven by the love he has for his daughter. If you fancy a thinking-free break for an hour or so and like watching the bad guys get it, this could be the film for you!

Liam Neeson actually comes across realistically as an ex CIA killing machine that single mindedly chases those that kidnapped his daughter. It's easy to become involved and cheer him on when he starts taking care of business. One on one he seems unbeatable but he's also good at sneaking up on people to give them the good news. It's James Bond stuff with an element of malice and of course realism is not the order of the day. It kicks things off is the telephone scene when he explains to the kidnappers that he has a particular set of skills that make him a nightmare for people like them.
