    Reacher

    This is an excellent film in almost every way. It has the forensics everyone craves these days, action at every turn, good and bad characters played well, and it's totally believable. It is a good representation of the book too. Except for one thing. Please don't take this as a knock on Tom Cruise because I am a fan and he's great in this movie. My only tiny argument with the whole package is the difference in height between Reacher and Cruise. If you haven't read the book it won't matter. I'm sure the producer picked Cruise because he's an outstanding actor and it's an outstanding film. It's just that he's 5 ft 7 and Reacher is supposed to be about 6 ft 3. Again, it's fiction, and making things up should be allowed in fiction. But why not John Cena? He would have been absolutely perfect ...

    Great Action Film

    I've read most of the JR novels and know how 6.5 ft/250lb Jack Reacher ambles into some of the most diabolical situations known to mankind. I was prepared to be disappointed because Tom Cruise does not match that description. However, I was entertained and enthralled from the start. It was just the sort of situation Reacher finds himself in in the novels and Cruise made it believable. Action, broken arms, shots fired, hot cars racing at a zillion MPH all to screech to a final denumont at a cruise into a final stop at the curb. Great fun. I'm looking for the second movie at discount prices even now..

    2021 first I watched on dvd. T Cruse is believable in this role (haven’t seen much of him in awhile). Enjoy this type storyline.

    The title only gives the characters name, it could use a little more depth.

    What an awesome start to an adventure series! Ex-military, first time in the states and disappears to find out what freedom really means. What a basis for adventure! AND while he's put trying to help people, all the bad guys (there are plenty) are out to get him.

    awesome action movie that has its funny parts

    well written dialog with classic Jack Reacher quips in the sports bar and pay phone scene. Also love the bus stop scene. Robert Duvall is great in a small supporting role. Our teenage daughters love it also [viewed with a Clearplay filtering DVD player]
