It seems to be real leather but the smell is a little bit awkward, to say the least. Definitely something for the bushcraft er to drive away mosquitoes and wild animals. The sheath and the button are surprisingly flimsy. I don't really know how to judge it. I guess you get what you pay for

Not like the photo. Dull untreated dangerously thin leather, that the knife easily will puncture or cut through. I will need to make a plastic insert to use this in a safe manner. It was cheap, and you get what you pay for. Shape like the photo, size longer then described, quality ..thin leather that will need some work, and extra inlay to be a half usable sheath. If that’s what you look for … then buy it. If you look for a sheath that is solid and protect both you and the knife.. Look elsewhere

The item was excellent standard exactly as described and well worth the cost. I assume this came from china bc it took 6 weeks. I questioned seller at their email address and they responded immediately to assure it was on its way. I guess it came by boat. Cheaper. I’m ok with that but they might mention that. I wasn’t in a hurry. It wasn’t a gift.
