I bought this to replace my existing pressure release valve, which was nearly identical. I bought this because I did not want to move any existing pipework. The instructions say not to fit this valve upside down, i.e. read part down. My original was upside down so I asked a good plumber, who said it wouldn't be a problem. (I'm not sure why the instruction say not to do so) Also it comes in 2 parts, the gauge screws into the valve and you will need PTFE tape (or something similar) to get a good seal. Also you don't get any fittings for the outlet side, i.e. the bush that screws in to fasten the outlet pipe. Luckily I could use the one from my previous valve. Also, I'm not sure the outlet is a compression fitting, it only just managed to use the olive and bush from the old one as the pipe did not go in quite as far as the old one. I'm not sure you can buy this valve without the gauge (or at least I couldn't find it). So if you are starting form scratch I would suggest having the pressure release valve separate to the gauge, so it is cheaper to replace if it goes wrong.Read full review
