I received my rangefinder well packed and it came with two batteries. The carry case is good quality and designed, I think, to protect the rangefinder in case you drop the case with the rangefinder in side. I took the rangefinder to my golf course today and tried it out. It was very easy to get a lock on the flagpole even when the flag was only just visible (uphill hole). I checked the distances against the 100 and 150 yard markers plus my gps watch. Accuracy very good.
