These screws do the job after the originals float away because you just weren't careful with the hardware while opening the case of the MacBook. For a lousy $1.99 you fix the problem. Listen, if you're into ifixit – a good thing as you're bound to save lots o' $$, be cognizant of what you do with each little thing you remove so you can find it again upon reassembly. These screws are cheap, but other components not so much. Anyway, the rear cover will now look so much better properly secured.

It will not work on Inspiron 5767 models. It will work perfectly with Inspiron 5758 and 5759. I have tested that and that is why I shared this comment for others to know. Michael
