    review of cd

    One of those bands that have grown on me, took a long time to fully appreciate the quiet, almost wisper of a voice and soft lush instrumental music behind it. Covers genre's of soul, country and rock/pop. Track four is outstanding sixties mowtown/soul sound the rest lear more to the country/instrumental sound, but there isn't a duff track on this cd. Obvoiusly a lot of work goes into the arrangements of the instrumentation as does most of Lambchops music. I recommend also " how I gave up smoking", "is a woman", "Nixon", "damaged" as other cd's of theirs very worth buying. The sound varies little across these cd's, but it is a quality sound that grows and grows and is totally absorbing and eventually you recognise more and more subtle differences in the overall sound of each one that help ...
