    mad max..........................

    JUDGE DREDD As far as mindless Sylvester Stallone action movies go, JUDGE DREDD ($30) is better than some, but not quite as good as others. JUDGE DREDD is based upon the cult comic book of the same name, with Stallone portraying the title character. When Stallone's Judge Dredd utters the film's tag line "I am The Law" he isn't kidding. In the future, justice is swift thanks to an elite police force known as "Judges" that have absolute authority, serving as judge, jury and when required- executioner. Amongst Judges, Judge Dredd has become legendary for the rapid, dispassionate manner in which he dispenses justice. The plot of JUDGE DREDD centers on the political aspiration of Judge Griffin (Jürgen Prochnow), who frames Dredd for murder in an effort to unseat Judge Fargo (Max von Sydow) ...

    3 good action films...

    Lethal Weapon was the original and best. It spawned three follow on films, which were a mixed bag of hit and misses. This is superb. Mel Gibson is perfect as the cop who is part mad, part alcoholic. Excellent action movie. . Mad Max is a superb early outing for Mel Gibson. It is a low budget Australian production, and tells the story of a post apocalyptic world. . We Were Soldiers is a dramatic retelling of a true life event. It tells the story of the birth of Americas helicopter bourne troop unit. A unit meant to get into an area quick, and secure it. Except the first place they are sent has a lot more enemy troops than first thought, and as they go in quick, and lightly equipped, they are unprepared to defend themselves properly. Thought provoking.
