      4.5 stars: Jamiroquai's unexpected "swan song" during their peak '90s period.

      Quite possibly the band's most underrated album in their entire catalog, yet still delivers the goods like the other three that came before it. This one's more electronically dance-oriented, mainly due to ex-bass man "extraordinaire" Stuart Zender's abrupt departure during the initial recording sessions. Despite that rather jarring setback, the songwriting and production values both remain at a consistently high level on this album. Opening track Canned Heat ended up being the biggest single released off 'Synkronized', but Planet Home, Black Capricorn Day, Falling, Supersonic, Where Do We Go From Here, and King For A Day are equally noteworthy if not more so. Sadly, this was the last time I would take Jamiroquai seriously as their following work failed to reel me in the way their first 4 ...
