It works
It arrived in time. I have now used it a couple of times. The first day, it took me ~30 minutes to set it up. However, re-using it is less time consuming. My only complain is that some of the plastic pieces that should hold the band are too loose and do not hold the bands tight. I am not sure if I have done anything wrong in setting up the rack or it is a ailure of the pieces. I had also another problem. I bought it to carry my son's bike (20 inch wheel), however, the bike is too small for it. I have to fix the bike on it using extra bands. It arrived in time. I have now used it a couple of times. Easy fitting but needs mods.
Fits to tow bar easily and firmly. The clamps to hold crossbar are too narrow and too hard to take mountain bikes. Would damage paintwork I you try to force frame bars in. I binned the clamps and fitted foam pipe lagging to carrier bars and secured bikes with bungee straps. Bike front wheel is a bit too close to the road for comfort, but with a fiddle / repositioning it can be raised a bit. Carrying three bikes takes a lot of juggling wth positions. It's ok for two kids bikes. I will get a roof carrier for my mountain bike.. summary is ; cheap enough to modify to your needs, feels secure on tow ball. So not all bad. Does not clamp firmly to the tow ball. Feels very unsecured and moves around a great deal . Had to fit extra security straps to prevent it moving around. Says 3 bike rack. Not a cat in hells chance of fitting more than 2 bikes.
