    A great tire for any type of cycling

    universally acknowledged as the best all round bike tire, the new grand prix 5000 has my vote. I ride these tires exclusively and am very happy with their comfort and performance. They corner extremely well and resist punctures as well or better than any other brand.

    Continental needs to improve quality control

    I ordered these 700/28 tires for my road bike to replace my 700/25's so as to get a better ride on rough roads. 25's are Continental Gran Prix 4000's and the 28's are Continental Gran Prix 5000's. They are exactly (to the mm) the same size. Pretty disappointed with Continental's quality control.

    Great grip

    When compared to their predecessors (4000) the tires are a little more grippy. The 28c is smaller than the 4000 in a 25c. Also, they were so hard to mount! Once the items are on they’re great. I’d buy them again, but will likely go even bigger than the 28c.
