    Replacing a defective transducer

    I had to buy this replacement unit because mine failed after 3 years first the thermometer broke then it started flaking out bad last year with constant error messages and then was total fail to start the fishing season this year. I do not think it handles being left outside during the winter I would say to disconnect it for the winter or just use the motor hook up so you can take it inside easier. I actually like the fish finder just frustrating that I cannot leave the transducer on my boat year-round without it breaking just from being outside and covered.

    Seems well built but haven't used it yet in water

    Construction and versatility of mounting systems is quite good. Cable is 30 feet long so plenty of length for my boat. Comes with mounting accessories like a line penetration cover and screws.Hope it functions as well as it looks.
