Great for cider makers.
Just a good solid piece of kit. Quality build and looks like it will last a while. The operation is smooth and gets the maximum amount of juice from the pulp. I've only got the 6ltr version which is fine for my two small apple trees. A word of warning though - the wasps go mad for the juice!

Good press if you know what to expect.
This is an old style press which, I would think, can be used to press many things. It is a sturdy construction but, if putting effort into pulling the bar you should avoid pushing on the drum slats. The bigger one may appear more productive but don't forget it must be stored somewhere and you also may need to prep fruit before pressing which may take time. We bought this to press pears from our tree and 35+ kg of pears yielded 5 ltr juice.This is an old style press which, I would think, can be used to press many things. Well made but unless it is me, it does not really give me the results I was hoping for. Alot of time preparing fruit and using the press for very little juice. I can see it isn't going to be used much.
