Quick to arrive. Used it to replace front springs on BMW 1 series. These are impossible to compress using regular spring compressors given springs require around 160mm compression. With this tool, found it best to compress with upper spring support in place. Tool is cheaper than labour costs at a garage and doing it yourself you know that new springs have been used!

There is some adjustments to make - the coil claws had mould sprews that had to be filed and repainted to allow them to fit cleanly into the holders. The base alignment was out - the two right angled pieces did not sit level on the floor, again some simple adjustments with a file were all it took. These were minor issues and on the whole it is well worth the price given that it is so much more safer than the threaded bar compressors which I've used before.

Good for the money
Struggled for years with different types of threaded spring compressors so saw this and for the money I am pleased with it. It is quite well made except for the feet which are drilled out of line and it wobbles about but I can sort that. It definitely does the job and I hope it lasts a long time.
