This Sony security camera is a surveillance camera that is can be mounted to the ceiling and is controlled with a remote in order to pan, tilt, and zoom to the necessary directions. With the optical zoom of 18x, the Sony EVI-D70P can zoom in on distant and small objects with clarity. The camera also features 12x digital zoom in addition to the optical zoom. The pan range of the pan-tilt-zoom camera reaches up to 170 degrees from the centre and its maximum pan speed is 100 degrees per second. The unit tilts 90 degrees upward and 30 degrees downward. Furthermore, the Sony security camera has a high sensitivity value of 1 lux while its resolution is 460 TV lines and the picture produced has a 752x585-pixel resolution. The signal-to-noise ratio of the Sony EVI-D70P is 50 dB and the camera is therefore able to filter out any digital noise efficiently. The users of the pan-tilt-zoom camera can create six pre-set positions for instant recall and choose their white-balance as well as exposure features. The Sony security camera has an integrated alarm system that triggers when any changes occur in the user-designated area of the image.
