Reviews
3 stars out of 5 - "Hers is a romantic, skewy world that takes its cues from Joni Mitchell's BLUE, Rachmaninov's 2nd and the theme from Hill Street Blues.", 3 stars out of 5 - "Spektor has a winsome voice that brings to mind a more tuneful Bjork, and she plays the piano with some of Tori Amos' virtuosic intensity...", "Positioning her piano somewhere at the confluence of Bjork, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell, Spektor -- a 24-year-old with a powerhouse voice and profoundly imaginative arrangements -- certainly doesn't suffer from a lack of original ideas."

  • Unique voiced Regina

Fab album if your keen on Regina's original, mixed vocal voice. My favourite songs are 'Us' and 'The ghost of corporate future.' Regina's '***' part of the album is a different entrance into the song when a young child is whispering to her but again, very original. I bought the album as I loved 'Begin to Hope' (BTH) I would have to say, I prefer BTH to this album but if your like Regina's music alot, you should buy this album! XO

  • Fantstic album - quirky and different.

This is a fantastic album. I loved Regina Spektor as soon as I heard her on the soundtrack of 50 days of Summer and the songs on this album do not disappoint. My 11 year old daughter loves it and I keep having to retrieve it from her room. If you feel down or fed up, stick on this album and your spirits will be lifted.
