This biography glorifies the fantasy of springing from poverty to stardom in the NBA, but does little to illuminate the unusual makeup of the character of Allen Iverson. This book focuses mainly on Iverson's seemingly magical talents, his amazing records, and his quest to be picked to the All-Star Team. Little attention is paid to the work demanded from the athlete.
