This one is a good one

Not everyone wants a fisheye lens. It's one of those 'special' lenses outside the normal range. If you're shooting lots of landscapes, then this lens gives you more versatility and wider range than those from Canon, Vivitar or Nikon. And it gives you really great results. This lens is designed well, manufactured well and works well. If you pay attention to the way you line up your shot, it's almost as if you've taken a 'normal' picture instead of a wide-angle shot. Put the midline down the middle of your subject and everything stays in proportion. Great for those landscape shots you used to make multiple passes on with your other lenses. If you're trying to capture more of an interior space, then the very edges of the shot will be curved inward. That can be fixed with software, ...

  • For a non-OEM fisheye, not bad at all!

Seems to be as good as both my 16mm Nikkor and my 10.5mm Nikkor in image quality. Note: Because this is a fisheye, there's a little loss of IQ compared to rectalinear wide angles, thus, the IQ is 4.5 stars, but you can't split stars on eBay! I've used Nikon fisheyes, both 8mm and 16mm for about 35 years and bought my first 15 years ago when I found a great deal on my 16mm 2.8. When the Nikon digital SLRs came out, one of the first lenses I got was the 10.5mm full-frame DX fisheye. Both have been great lenses and each has paid for itself, usually on the first project. When I needed to shoot the circular fisheye again, Nikon Pro Services no longer had the 8mm, so I checked the Sigma fisheyes. The 4.5mm, though useable on the DX camera, isn't the best performer, but is ok. The 8mm on FX, ...

  • Sweet Lens

Awesome quality lens, optics are great, and the f/2.8 really helps in darker situations. The only problems I find are that on DX or crop sensor cameras the fisheye effect seems to not be as effective and creates more of a vaguely distorted image. But when used with a FX, full frame or 35mm film camera the results are phenomenal. The lens has actually stayed on my 35mm film since I bought it.

  • Great wide angle addition!

Just shot my first roll with this lens. A great addition to anyone's collection. Adds a unique perspective for wide angle shots. This lens is small and convenient with a wide aperture. Had a hard time keeping my shadow out of the pictures, but loved the results. *Just bought a D300 and I think I like this lens even more on a digital DSLR. A lot of the curvature is taken away, but still an excellent perspective. For the price it is difficult to find a wide angle with a 2.8 aperture. I highly recommend this lens.

  • New favorite lens...

The lens was exactly as described, shipping was fast and hassle free...By far my new favorite lens on my Nikon D7200!!! Best optics for an amazing price...
